Frédéric gets to choose his harvest date, and this was picked on 26 September. Starting with Marasca cherries and blueberries on the nose, the palate core is as juicy as the nose suggests. The tannins are creamy, the acidity is dazzling and the whole structure is beautifullyintegrated. This is a real class act. (2023)"

Each year grapes are sourced from the same parcel near the top of the slope in the Clos de Bèze. In 2021 the grapes were picked before 60mm of 60mm rain fell between 25 – 26 September. The palate is balanced on the entry, quite rounded with ample fruit, mulberry and red plum mixed with dried herbs. Harmonious on the finish. Give this time in bottle before broaching.
