98 points Michael Schuster (The World of Fine Wine): "Pale lemon; dense, tight, minerally, oaky nose; a rich and generous constitution, so well defined and contained by a lively and beautifully integrated acidity; concentrated and vigorous in flavor, dry yet luscious, dense, complex, mouth-coating; a striking combination of ripe fruit core, freshness, and underlying mineral impressions; an expansive wine of great ease, great length, racy complexity, and magnificent perfume. This is fine Le Montrachet of splendid presence, from a wonderful vintage; this is an example of Dr Lavalle's 'one of those rare marvels.' And if we each had a vinous summit in mind before the tasting, this, I think, would have fulfilled that vision. (Issue 59; 2018)"

97 points Tim Atkin, MW: "From a well-located, mid-slope parcel of 0.88 hectares, this is a sublime Montrachet. Opulent, dense and multi-layered with deftly integrated oak, tarte tatin and grapefruit flavours and taut, crunchy acidity. Long, stylish and very refined. 2020-30."

96 points and 'Don't miss!' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .89 ha parcel of Puligny vines). Though there is a hint of unabsorbed SO2 present on the otherwise expressive and actually quite elegant nose that features notes of lemon rind, spiced pear, white peach and plenty of floral scents. The serious and striking rich flavors are imposingly scaled as well as impressively concentrated and while obvious overtly powerful, they are also seductively textured before culminating in an explosive yet impeccably well-balanced finish. As is usually the case, this is a big but refined Montrachet that will require a full decade plus to arrive at its full maturity. Drink: 2026+. (Jun 2016)"

95 points Wine Spectator: "[$875 list] This sleek white delivers vanilla, cardamom, nutmeg and honey flavors, with buried peach and lemon fruit. Concentrated and tightly knit, this has an elegant, pastry-tinged finish that shows excellent length. The texture indicates that this should be ready soon. Best from 2018 through 2028. 45 cases imported. (7/31/16)"
