95 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "The domaine's 0.39 hectare of vines sit in the center of En Orveau facing south-southeast in stony soils on a 13% slope. They're smack in the middle of the valley's air flow, and Frédéric Weber says the Pinot loves the dramatic temperature changes here. There is plenty of zing and vibrancy with an almost verbose spiciness accompanied by bramble and sweet mulberry compote. Interestingly, the palate is nicely creamy and the tannins are rather pliable for such a cool site. This is a charmer right off the bat. 2022-35. (2022)"

93-95 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "From En Orveaux, a usefully cooler site, making a pleasingly ripe wine but with good detail too. Look for aroma rather than body here, and this certainly has a floral note, while the stems infuse the finish and open this out very well.(Nov 2021)"

94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "There are two bottlings; this one comes from the 0.39ha domaine parcel in the Combe d'Orveaux exposed to the south. It is, however, a very cool site, and the wine has a lovely, rich mulberry fruit, with a pronounced floral character on the nose and a very silky texture with lots of finesse and fresh acidity. Elegant and stylish, this wine should be approachable young but also age gracefully. Drinking Window: 2025-2050. (Nov 2021)"

92-94+ points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru offers up aromas of plums and cherries mingled with exotic spices, licorice and rose petals. Full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, its broad and textural attack segues into an ample core of fruit, framed by supple tannins and lively acids, before concluding with a long, perfumed finish. (Jan 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(Domaine from the Combe d’Orveaux. White, south-facing soil, cool in the nights here but still the most precocious parcel of the domaine in the CdN. There’s a negoce too that’s from Rouges du Bas.) Extra width of aroma, very perfumed and floral – that’s another beauty. Fuller, properly Vosne in style, again cool fruit. Beautifully mouth-watering too. Not an ultra-concentrated Echézeaux but still a great one! (Dec 2021)"
