99 points Robert Parker: "Another wine flirting with perfection is the 2010 Vecina, the nearby neighbor of Harlan Estate on the western hills overlooking the Oakville Corridor, and further south, Yountville. A Graves-like effort, it displays notes of burning embers, scorched earth, crème de cassis, and charcoal. Primordial, dense, rich, full-bodied, masculine and backward, this is another example of a wine built for half a century of cellaring. Forget it for 7-10 years and watch the pleasure unfold thereafter. (10/30/13)"

98 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2010 Vecina is another head-turner. Powerful and ample, with huge tannins and structure, the 2010 hits all the senses with stunning intensity and gravitas. Vecina is always a big wine, but the 2010 has an extra gear of attention-grabbing allure. The 2010 won't be ready to drink anytime soon. Readers will have to be especially patient here. Drink: 2022-2035. (Nov 2017)"

96.1 points CellarTracker.com community score.

95+ points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): " Saturated ruby. Incredibly primary aromas of blackberry, black cherry, licorice and minerals. Densely packed, rich and deep, with its terrific black fruit intensity complemented by saline minerality. Showing little easy sweetness today but this extremely primary wine boasts outstanding richness, grip and length and has a very long future ahead of it. The big, broad, dusty tannins display the nobility of the vintage. Drink: 2026-2042. (May 2020)"
