95 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2011 Quella is powerful and quite savory in style. Black cherry, herbs, leather, licorice and menthol open first. Most surprisingly though, Quella stands out for its substantial power and density. This is a terrific showing from a wine in the BOND range that sometimes does not get its full due. Drink: 2021-2029. (May 2022)"

95 points Jonathan Cristaldi (Decanter): "The 2011 Quella is super aromatic with red floral notes and so utterly enticing with a beautiful potpourri of dried mint and tobacco and currants dusted with Indian spices and dried porcini. A supple mid-palate reveals a delicious wine with perhaps a touch of volatile acidity. Still, it's not overpowering, and it adds a high-toned note to this wine, which has a tremendously strong through-line of ironstone minerality that just carries through on an everlasting finish. The tannins are well-integrated with a sweet cedar quality, and a chalky mineral character melds with the iron mineral notes. The Quella property is on well-draining sandy soils, dotted by rounded river cobble and volcanic ash just off Taplin Road, one ridgeline southeast of Melbury. Drinking Window: 2024-2040. (2/8/24)"

95 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "Deep garnet in color, the 2011 Quella floats effortlessly out of the glass with notes of blackberry preserves, plum pudding, and kirsch leading to wafts of damp soil, dried sage, and tree bark. The medium to full-bodied palate is chock full of youthful black and red berry preserves flavors, framed with lightly chewy tannins and bold freshness, finishing long and savory. Drink: 2024-2040. (4/8/24)"

93 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Bright red-ruby. Perfumed, slightly high-toned nose melds kirsch, licorice and pungent minerality; lovely aromatic lift here. Supple and savory for its vintage; doesn't show the thickness of the 2012 but boasts lovely ripeness and palate presence for this cool year, with just a bit of peppery verve to signify the vintage. Finishes with lovely length and firm, fairly fine-grained tannins that dust the teeth. Drink: 2022-2032). (Jun 2017)"

93 points Robert Parker: "The 2011 Quella is performing better from bottle than it did last year from barrel. Lots of black raspberry and blueberry fruit intermixed with notes of wet rocks and spring flowers jump from the glass of this medium-bodied, fleshy, beautifully evolved 2011 that is already showing secondary nuances and complexity. This vintage offers immediate gratification and drinkability. It should age effortlessly for another decade or more. Drink: 2014-2025. (10/30/14)"
