93-95 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The 2010 Volnay Les Caillerets impresses for its length and sheer persistence. All of the elements are beautifully woven together in this tightly grained, firm Volnay. Sweet flowers, mint and spices add complexity as the flavors build to the nuanced finish. This is a beautifully integrated wine with all of the elements in the right place. Drink: 2020-2030. (Feb 2012)"

94 points and 'Don't miss!/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .60 ha parcel). This is also notably restrained but ultra-elegant with a layered nose of pure extract of red and black pinot fruit, spice and wet stone notes. The intensely mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors possess excellent definition on the strikingly complex and beautifully balanced finish. This classy and graceful effort evidences a slightly saline nuance that serves to accentuate the stony character of this stunning effort. Drink: 2022+. (Apr 2012)"

93+ points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Good full red. Intense yet discreet aromas of crystallized raspberry, cranberry and flowers; shows an almost medicinal coolness on the nose. Tightly wound and intense, showing outstanding cut and lift to its vibrant fruit and floral flavors. Brisk acidity gives this wine superb inner-palate tension. Finishes with broad, serious tannins and strong lingering sweet fruit. Lay this one down. (Mar 2013)"
