The wine is not overly powerful in profile, but deep, intensely flavored, soil-driven and supremely elegant. It will be a magical addition to any well-stocked cellar, if one is lucky enough to find any in the market. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a very complex blend of sweet dark berries, black cherries, coffee bean, a complex base of minerality, pigeon, woodsmoke, sweet stem tones and a deft touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and seamlessly balanced, with a superb core, fine-grained tannins, excellent complexity and grip and a long, focused and very classy finish. Nice cohesion. The palate is well balanced with crisp tannins and is fairly spicy thanks to the whole bunches. It's saline in the mouth with a slightly garrigues-like finish.
