93 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "As I mentioned above, the Talmettes here in 2018 is one of only two wines that did not include one hundred percent whole clusters, as there was simply not enough room in the fermenters for all of the stems! The thirty percent or so that was de-stemmed seems to have given the wine an early sheen that is pretty rare for a Domaine Bize wine, but which works very nicely with the style of the vintage, as it delivers a fine bouquet of black cherries, sappy dark berries, French roast, bonfire, gamebird and a complex base of dark soil tones. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, complex and sappy at the core, with lovely soil signature, ripe, seamless tannins and fine backend minerality perking up the long and very classy finish. Just a lovely bottle in the making. 2027-2060. (Nov/Dec 2019)"

90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Middling purple, this has a high-class nose, not too ripe, based around a raspberry register. Pure class on the palate with some whole bunch spice but a really vibrant finish on this dark cherry and sweet raspberry fruit. Lovely. (Nov 2019)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Talmettes 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet of harmonious blackberry, cranberry and bilberry scents, plus light sea spray/brine in the background. The palate is very well defined with succulent tannins, very fine acidity and a precise, persistent finish. Superb. Drink: 2022-2036. (Jan 2020)"
