92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Maconnets 1er Cru is a little more fruit-driven on the nose than Bize's other cuvées, offering lifted blueberry and bilberry scents and hints of wild heather. The medium-bodied palate has fine-grain tannins, a little riper than the Aux Fournaux. There’s more flesh yet with plenty of structure exerting a huge grip, rending this approachable but with the ability to age in bottle. Classic Pinot Noir. Drink: 2027-2042. (Jan 2024)"

The bouquet is more complex, more of a range of fruit ripenesses including some darker berries, quite ripe at the front of the palate, then freshened up with a whole bunch tingle behind, good acidity and greater length than Fournaux. 89-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is the first wine to display any appreciable reduction and it's enough to suppress the underlying fruit today. Otherwise the fresher, finer and more mineral-driven but not denser flavors also conclude in saline, youthfully austere and sneaky long finale that is sufficiently structured to repay a decade plus of keeping.
