90-93 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Glowing fresh purple with very lively fruit, a sensual deep raspberry on the nose. Then in the mouth it is altogether tighter without losing this intensity of fruit and a really fine perfumed finish. It is a ripe style of fruit but a balanced structure and exceptionally long. (Nov 2019)"
92+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2018 Marconnets is also a fine example of the vintage, with perhaps a slightly sappier personality than the Fournaux, but still a wine of purity and soil signature. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a very stylish blend of black cherries, cassis, espresso, dark soil tones, roasted pigeon and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and very well-balanced, with a sappy core of fruit, fine undertow of soil, ripe, seamless tannins and impressive length and grip on the promising finish. This will take a year or two longer to blossom than the Fournaux, but it is going to be excellent. 2026-2060. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
