91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Fournaux wafts from the glass with aromas of dark berries, baking chocolate, exotic spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with tangy acid and powdery tannins that assert themselves on the long, perfumed finish, it shows considerable promise. (1/20/22)"
91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Fournaux 1er Cru is well-defined on the nose but quite compact and introverted at first, blackcurrant mixed with redcurrant and a hint of balsamic. The palate is crisp and grainy in texture, again, quite "crunchy" in texture with a liberal sprinkling of white pepper and sage towards the finish. Very fine. Drink: 2025-2040. (Dec 2021)"
92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 les Fournaux from Chisa Bize is a beautiful wine in the making and is really quite expressive out of the blocks. The bouquet delivers a fine combination of cassis, dark berries, currant leaf, coffee bean, woodsmoke, gamebird and a complex base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied and shows off excellent mid-palate depth, with lovely focus and grip, tangy acids and a long, ripely tannic and beautifully balanced finish. This is really lovely in 2020. 2032-2080. (NovDec 2021)"
90-92 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Opaque. Very ripe yet still nicely fresh aromas include of cassis, black cherry liqueur and plenty of newly turned earth. The suave, round and generously proportioned larger-scaled flavors also possess excellent power while displaying fine length on the rustic, serious and built-to-age finale. Patience required. Drink: 2032+. (Apr 2022)"
