87-89+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Les Guettes is all in old vines, having been planted in 1964. The 2004 is showing very well indeed, offering up notes of black cherries, currants, Echézeaux-like bonfires, herb tones, spice and earth. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and black fruity, with good balance, a fine core of fruit, moderate tannins, and good length and grip on the modestly tannic, but bouncy finish. The acids here today seem less pronounced than in the Aloxe 'Suchots', but I like the depth and length. 2010-2025. (Jan/Feb 2006)"
