Producer notes: "From a 0.32 hectare plot directly adjacent to the Grand Cru of Chambertin; vines planted in 1961, 1971 and 1981. Shallow soil of marl and limestone. The vines cover the entire length of the parcel, with grapes from both the high and low portions making up the final wine. This Grand Cru personifies the perfect harmony between power, richness, and elegance. Ample and silky, the wine reveals a wonderfully complex aromatic profile of great finesse. A Grand Cru for whom it is wise to age several years before enjoying."

Not yet reviewed; 2021 vintage rated 95 points by John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Happily, the superb 2021 Latricières-Chambertin from Domaine Simon Bize is the product of normal yields in this vintage, having escaped from any frost damage. The wine is excellent on both the nose and palate, with the bouquet delivering scents of sweet dark berries, red and black cherries, gamebird, a lovely base of dark soil, sweet stem tones, coffee bean, a touch of new leather and a suave foundation of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and nicely plush at the core, with fine soil signature, lovely focus and balance, fine-grained tannins and a long, refined and energetic finish. First class juice! 2034-2100. (Nov/Dec 2022)"
