89 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Champlains bottling of Bourgogne Blanc from Chisa Bize is a very pretty wine, with a nice plump core and plenty of early generosity in the offing. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a mix of pear, passion fruit, a hint of pineapple, chalky soil tones and a topnote of apple blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and fairly concentrated in style for this cuvée, with a good core, bright acids and a long, ripe and complex finish. This comes in at thirteen percent in 2020 and will drink very well right from the start. 2022-2040. (Nov/Dec 2021)"

88 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Bourgogne Blanc Les Champlains offers up notes of citrus zest and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, taut and incisive palate. It's a pretty, precise white that will offer a broad drinking window. Drink: 2021-2030. (1/20/22)"

Producer notes: "95% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Gris. Aged 6-12 months on the lees in barrels (15-30% new oak). The vineyard is located near quarries, which demonstrates the interesting rocky qualities of the soil. A small altar was built on this parcel by the domaine team to pay respect to the Bize family. The goal chez Bize is to harvest grapes that are both sufficiently ripe and have a good acidity to make wines that are precise, delicate, and reflect their terroirs."
