97 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Les Preuses continues to develop in aromatic intensity and takes us to the heart of the stone. Fine and silky, this great wine in the making is already wonderfully open. (2025)"

96 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "This is definitely on my list of wines to buy from the 2022 vintage. It is replete with welcoming fragrances of baskets of summer fruits sitting in the sun at a farmers' market. Graciously balanced between the puff pastry-like layers of fruit and the vivid playful acidity, this already tastes delicious. But, the long and spicy summer bouquet-scented finish tinged with toastiness suggests that this will have an easy time taking on years in the cellar. (2024)"

95 points/'5 Star Wine,' Jasper Morris, MW: "Mid lemon yellow. Immediately the nose has an extra lift over and above the Clos, the Preuses is powerful and spicy but also with a purity and elegant energy as well. There is a stunning intensity of fruit here with such a lift of energy. Fabulous dry extract and real length. Drink from 2029-2040. Tasted Jul 2024."

94 points Andy Howard, MW (Decanter): "Billaud-Simon always produces a super-classy Les Preuses. A more restrained, racy style of grand cru. Less wood evident here, which lets the ripeness of the fruit shine through. Very nice acidity. Lots of enjoyment and mineral notes to finish. Long and elegant. 70-year-old vines from one plot. Three barrels used in 2022, with a small proportion (13%) of new oak. Drinking Window: 2026-2035. (10/18/23)"

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .41 ha parcel of vines planted in 1952). More moderate wood influence stops short of overshadowing the attractively spicy, pure and floral nose of shellfish, sea breeze and quinine. The medium-bodied flavors are rich to the point of opulence thanks to the abundance of sappy dry extract that also serves to buffer the firm acid spine shaping the wonderfully complex, persistent and balanced finale. Excellent and the best wine in the range, hands down. Drink: 2032+. (Oct 2024)"
