94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "All made in barrel for the first year’s elevage. A fresh lemon-yellow colour with great energy on the nose, despite the evident intensity this Preuses has elegance purity and distinction. Like those who are so beautifully yet simply dressed that you know it must cost a great deal of money. Immaculate. Drink from 2028-2035. Tasted Jun 2025."
93-94 points Kristaps Karklins (Wine Advocate): "Samuel Billaud's 2023 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is sourced from 65-year-old vines and is produced from purchased fruit. Although Preuses sits atop Bougros, it’s a cooler site and tends to produce wines with more finesse. Already quite expressive, in the context of this stony climat, it soars from the glass with a bouquet of white flowers, lemon zest and oyster shell. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, layered, elegantly textural and bright, with incisive acidity and a long, searingly chalky finish. (3/6/25)"
