94 points Andy Howard MW (Decanter): "Produced from vines averaging 60 years old, this shows the typical Vaillons perfume with notes of white flowers. Very good drive and crispness on the palate. Complex and long aftertaste. A top quality example of Vaillons, with the style of a real thoroughbred. Drink 2025-2030. (10/17/23)."
90-93 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A discreet but not invisible application of wood sets off aromas of slightly riper white and yellow peach with more subtle Chablis influence, in particular iodine. There again excellent volume to the sappy and beguilingly textured medium weight flavors that possess more power if less refinement on the citrus rind and quinine-inflected finish that is firm enough to also repay mid-term keeping. Drink 2029+. (08/10/23)."

92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Chablis Vaillons Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru has developed wonderfully on the nose: orchard fruit, hints of brioche and lanolin. More complex than the 2023 out of barrel. The palate is very well balanced with fine acidity, becoming stricter toward the sapid and focused finish. I'd cellar this for two or three years. Drink 2027-2044. (06/24)."
91 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons Vieilles Vignes delivers a generous bouquet of sweet stone fruits, white flowers and wet stones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and saline palate that's more classically tightly wound than the nose would suggest; but this is one instance where the 2021 rendition is more typically Chablisien than its 2022 counterpart. Drink 2023-2038.(09/7/23)."
