92-95 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .32 ha parcel). An exuberantly spicy nose is ever-so-slightly riper with its blend of dark raspberry and a plethora of floral elements along with a top note of kirsch and a background hint of oak influence. There is outstanding detail to the gorgeously textured medium weight flavors that possess the most minerality in the range, all wrapped in a hugely persistent, balanced and dusty finale. This is seriously classy with the underlying structure to amply repay a decade plus of keeping. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2025)"

Once again, from John's article in View From the Cellar: "François Bertheau also owns a third of a hectare of vines in les Amoureuses, and deservedly so, this is probably today his most famous wine. The Amoureuses chez Bertheau is also raised in the same twenty percent new oak as the blended Premier Cru and Charmes bottlings, so all three of the premier crus chez Bertheau are first and foremost, wines that reflect their underlying terroirs and new oak is only here in a subordinate role. François Bertheau’s les Amoureuses is always an outstanding wine and one of the very best examples of this beautiful terroir produced in Burgundy."
