94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "From four little plots, making eight barrels in all. 40% stems, from a racked barrel, neither reduction nor stems show any more. Purple not black. A gorgeous heady red fruit, with such a thick dense texture here, almost smothered by it, enough acidity, a tannin or two quite nicely in balance and with really good length. The Petits Monts stands out this year. (Nov 2021)"

93-95 points/'Very Fine,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "One of my favorite wines from Amélie Berthaut is Les Petits-Monts, from an exciting, filigreed, mineral-driven vineyard. The 2020 is vivid, with delightful energy for the vintage. It has a nice hedonistic feel on the mid-palate, with effortless energy and depth. Quite intense and powerful, but showing a light-footed mid-palate. Drink from 2032. (7/4/22)"

91-94 points/'Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .50 ha parcel that must be worked by horse). A very spicy, cool and restrained nose speaks of poached plum, violet, rose petal and Asian-style tea. I very much like the sophisticated texture of the tautly muscular, stylish and intense medium weight flavors that brim with both minerality and dry extract on the moderately austere, focused and impressively long finale. Once again, extended patience advised. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2022)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "(5 different blocks – ‘most planted before my grandfather so we don’t know how old’ – just one small part is aged 10. The vines were initially divided between the Gerbets and Sirugue-Gerbets, now divided in three with Amélie and two others, but Amélie is renting one of those portions back. ‘It’s very special for us, not just because it’s so well placed, but some of the parcels pre-date my grandfather – and of course, all is done by hand as we can’t get a tractor in there. For two years some work with a horse, have the ‘troye’ from Switzerland – and it’s a bit too physical for half a hectare. I still use it for ‘amusement’ but in a small parcel.’ Amélie likes the wine but given the position and age of the vines can’t bring herself to say that she makes a great wine here – ‘you know it’s next to Richebourg, so…’ 8 barrels but 4 go back to the family.) A more compact nose – but oh-so fine. Direct, slightly structural, lovely depth to the and width to the flavour, faintly saline, gorgeously finishing. Overall a compact but beautifully detailed thing. Excellent… (Jan 2022)"
