92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Old vines from Amélie ’s grandfather’s time. This vineyard was not much hit by the hail but benefitted from the rain, which removed the risk of drought stress which can be a problem here. There was no space to put in any stems. Dense purple, showing the oak a little. Plenty of weight here, rich dark cherry fruit. Just bottled. (Nov 2023)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): " The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Combe du Dessus, once part of Berthaut's Gevrey Village, is very understated on the nose yet well-defined with subtle aromas of wild strawberries, cranberries, sous-bois and dried rose petals. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. Very elegant and poised, actually reminiscent of a Rousseau in many ways. Gently caressing on the finish. This will drink early and will be difficult to resist. Drink: 2026-2038. (Jan 2024)"

91 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .50 ha holding). This is earthier still with its equally cool and slightly more elegant nose of wild red currant and forest floor wisps. The almost painfully intense larger-bodied and more powerful flavors display excellent persistence on the firm built-to-age finish. This is a first-rate Gevrey villages and well-worth checking out. Drink: 2030+. (Jan 2024)"

90 points/'Very Good,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "This is fully destemmed, but delicate and quite intense for its level. It has sweet, ripe fruit with phenolics that are mature and complex. Not a big or dense wine, but thanks to the old vines, a lovely treat. Drink from 2039. (1/14/24)"
