94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "TOP VALUE. Aromas of plum and mulberry, leather, smoke and an edge of wild herbs. The texture is firm and tannic, with impressive substance and length: classic Côte de Nuits. The grapes are from a plot of 0.37ha located just under the premiers crus Arvelets and Hervelets, planted with 60-year-old vines that deliver solid power each year. Drinking Window: 2028-2040. (Nov 2023)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Fixin En Combe Roy contains 50% stems, which loom over the current aromatics: dark berry fruit, cola, cracked black pepper and a faint wild fennel aroma. Very complex. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and gentle grip. More tertiary in style, a little "gawkier" (if you can call an unfinished wine that), that it will certainly cohere during its élevage. It will require 3-4 years in bottle, but this is another very promising Fixin. Drink: 2026-2038. (Jan 2024)"

92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "50% whole bunch vinification, just bottled, 20% new wood. Mid crimson purple. Fine perfumed fruit, more class, less immediate density. The whole bunches really add distinction here, especially in the finish. The oak is nowhere to be seen and the tannins are very refined. Beautiful finish. (Nov 2023)"

90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Fixin En Combe Roy derives from a small enclave planted with old vines just below Les Arvelets and Les Hervelets. Vinified with some 50% whole bunches, it wafts from the glass with notes of rose petals, spices, bergamot and sweet red berries. Medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, it's fragrant and melting, concluding with a saline finish. (1/18/24)"
