Berthaut has bottled this separately since 2013, and it is easy to see why - the parcel gives a lovely, ripe fruit with more density than the other village-level offerings, good length, and plenty of structure, perfect for mid-term ageing. There is a bit more volume and power to the medium-bodied flavors that flash ample minerality on the moderately austere finale that delivers first-rate depth and persistence.
