94 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Amélie Berthaut calls the Arvelets' the cuvée of my grandfather', who purchased the 0.70-hectare site. She has taken extraordinary pains here since hail damage in the final week of June necessitated complicated sorting. However, the wine is a triumph, with concentrated blackberry and mulberry fruit and hints of earth, smoke, and spice. She has fermented half the grapes as whole clusters (where there was no damage), and has been very careful with the extraction to achieve this model of depth and concentration. Drinking Window: 2027-2055. (11/2/23)"

92-94 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "50% whole bunch vinification. Glowing purple. The fruit smells as if it was picked on the perfect day. A grace and density with succulent raspberry strawberry fruit, perfect structure behind. Effortless, fine, structured but above all the fruit."

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2022 Fixin 1er Cru Les Arvelets delivers aromas of orange zest, peonies, sweet berries, smoke and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and layered palate that's elegant and perfumed, concluding with a floral finish. It's a lovely wine that will offer a broad drinking window. (1/18/24)"

91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Fixin Les Arvelets 1er Cru contains 50% stems, predicating a vibrant nose with cracked black pepper and pencil box aromas complementing the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. I might have just pulled back a little on the stem addition as they feel a bit pronounced on the finish, but they will surely be assimilated with bottle age. One for the more patient among you. Drink: 2027-2040. (Jan 2024)"

90-93 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "This is also reduced enough to mask the nuances of what appear be ripe red berry aromas. More interesting are the energetic and agreeably fresh middleweight flavors that brim with minerality on the youthfully austere, focused and beautifully balanced finale. This is almost delicate with doesn't lack for punch and overall, this too is worth considering. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2024)"
