93 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This is an approachable and hedonistic wine with its medium ruby colour, fragrant plummy fruit aromas, and hints of spice. Although it should drink well early the density and weight on the palate suggest at least mid-term aging. There is impressive length here, particularly given the vintage. Produced from nearly a hectare of vines that the domaine farms at the top of the slope in very thin soils over the limestone bedrock, mostly planted in the 50s and 60s. Drinking Window: 2025-2035. (Nov 2022)"

92-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "A highlight of the range this year (as is often the case) is the 2021 Fixin 1er Cru Les Arvelets, which includes the fruit sometimes vinified and bottled separately as Les Hervelets, an idiosyncrasy of the appellation system in Fixin. Wafting from the glass with scents of plums, rose petals, bergamot, peonies and sweet spices, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and satiny, with melting tannins and a sensual, seamless profile, concluding with a succulent, saline finish. (1/31/23)"

90-93 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Here too there is a touch of green tea character present on the spicy and overtly floral nose of essence of red berries, all of which is trimmed in an almost invisible application of wood. The super-sleek medium-bodied flavors possess a satiny texture along with the hallmark minerality of a classic Arvelets, all wrapped in slightly less austere, balanced and sappy finale. This too could use more depth, but everything is in place for it to develop in time. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2023)"

90-92 points Jasper Morris, MW: "This includes two trays of grapes from Hervelets. A pretty and bright lighter purple. Gentle red berry fruits on the nose, then the 1er Cru quality shows as the fruit extends significantly on the palate. More strawberry flavours here, 20% whole bunch vinification adding a nuance but is far from dominating. A long finish with a touch of sucrosity. Drink from 2026-2030. (Nov 2022)"

90-92 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Fixin Les Arvelets 1er Cru has a peppery bouquet in part thanks to the 20% whole bunches. Fine delineation, though this demands a bit of aeration to cohere. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fine delineation quite poised and sorbet fresh with candied orange peel mixed with hints of pain d'épice on the finish. Lovely. Drink: 2025-2036. (Jan 2023)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "Starting a little reductive but cleaning up and growing with lovely floral components. Super silky, aplenty of concentration. A mineral aspect in the finish. Simply excellent, indeed great Fixin. (1/17/22)"
