96 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "This wine is produced from three small plots of Echézeaux in Les Treux, Le Quartier de Nuits, and Champs Traversins, planted in 1935 and totaling just 0.21ha. From this, Amélie has crafted an impressive Echézeaux, using 60% whole clusters for the gentle fermentation before ageing in cask (30% new). The result has a lovely, intense cassis fruit, hints of exotic spices and smoke, with a firm texture showing plenty of silky tannins that carry the wine to an exquisitely lingering finish. This wine should open soon and will age for decades to come. Drinking Window: 2027-2060. (Jan 2022)"

94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "From three lieux-dits, Treux, Quartier de Nuits and Champs Traversin, but only enough for two and a half barrels in all, none new. 60% stems. Fine dense mid purple. A soft plump fruit, enveloped in cashmere. The stems are apparent on the nose in the white pepper style. Excellent length too. (Nov 2021)"

94-95 points/'Outstanding,' Steen Öhman (Winehog): "The Echezeaux is a tremendous wine, with a lovely, expressive, floral nose – red and pink roses. It has a slightly masculine stance, yet stylistically, 2020 represents a further advance, resulting in a more organic, hedonistic character. The oak is still rather dominant, but the wine pulls through and shows wonderfully pure fruit on the mid-palate. Drink from 2035. (7/4/22)"

92-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .20 ha holding in Les Treux, Quartiers de Nuits and Champs Traversin). Here the expressive, ripe and equally fresh nose is even spicier with its array of black raspberry, anise and sandalwood. The plush, round and highly seductive medium-bodied flavors possess excellent punch before culminating in a sappy, complex and strikingly persistent finish. This is impressive and quite classy and a wine that should also grow older gracefully. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2022)"

94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru has turned out beautifully, delivering a complex bouquet of sweet berries and cherries mingled with notions of orange zest, rose petals, warm spices and violets. Full-bodied, supple and seamless, with lively acids and sweet structuring tannins, it concludes with a long, expansive finish. Drink: 2026-2055. (Jan 2023)"

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): "3 parcels; Treux and Quartiers de Nuits, plus some Champs Traversins higher near the wood. It may be 3 parcels but of old vines, so only 2.5 barrels. Really aromatic, lots of wc perfume and even an impression of barrels – but this tasted from a 2016 barrel… Really a mouth-filling wine here – quite large-scaled for many I’ve tasted from this vintage. That’s a lovely thing! (1/17/22)"
