The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, very well balanced, the new oak (25%) is neatly integrated. This builds in the mouth and delivers a welcome peppery note on the finish. Excellent. There is even better mid-palate density, if not the same refinement, to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that also terminate in a markedly austere, firm and built-to-age finale.
