94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The frost damage was limited by bougies. Mid purple colour. A fine perfume, nuanced, just ripe enough, little red fruits. Then swells on the palate, picking up a correct proportion of new wood, and finishing on fresh red fruit, with pinpoint detail. Admirably long finish. One new barrel in four. Drink from 2028-2035. (Nov 2022)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2021 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is showing some reduction on the nose, although there is appreciable open red cherry and crushed strawberry scents on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, very well balanced, the new oak (25%) is neatly integrated. This builds in the mouth and delivers a welcome peppery note on the finish. Excellent. Drink: 2025-2042. (Jan 2023)"

91-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "Slightly more prominent wood is present on the cool and very fresh essence of red cherry, spice and newly turned earth aromas. There is even better mid-palate density, if not the same refinement, to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that also terminate in a markedly austere, firm and built-to-age finale. I would make the same observation here that this should benefit from at least some forbearance as it's quite Cistercian-like today. Drink: 2033+. (Jan 2023)"
