95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru left me perplexed out of barrel, but it proves its mettle in bottle. It has quite an intense bouquet with more black than red fruit, a little musky in quality, though it is well-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. With a mixture of red and black fruit, brown spices and tobacco, this Clos de Vougeot is well-structured with a controlled, focused, sapid finish. Very fine. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. 95 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Mid purple, with some freshness to the fruit, and just a little smoky touch, from the stems again. This may be the prettiest perfume of the Clos de Vougeot’s made in that style. Intense crushed strawberries behind, with a more classically savoury finish. (Sep 2024)"

92-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .31 ha parcel; 60% whole clusters). Once again there is ample floral influence on the ripe and fresh aromas of plum, black currant, newly turned earth and discreet wood. There is excellent mid-palate density to the powerful and even more muscular large-scaled flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract on the overtly austere built-to-age finish. This is a classic example of the genre that should age accordingly. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2022)"
