94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "The holding is located in the lower part of the Clos, so now a good place to be. 50% stems have been retained to combat the weight and structure of Clos Vougeot. They do not show on the nose at all. You can pick them out a little on the palate where the fruit adds a redder element to the blacker beginnings. A little liquorice note as well. Very long. 92-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from a .31 ha parcel; 60% whole clusters). Once again there is ample floral influence on the ripe and fresh aromas of plum, black currant, newly turned earth and discreet wood. There is excellent mid-palate density to the powerful and even more muscular large-scaled flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract on the overtly austere built-to-age finish. This is a classic example of the genre that should age accordingly. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2022)"
