They do not show on the nose at all. You can pick them out a little on the palate where the fruit adds a redder element to the blacker beginnings. A little liquorice note as well. Very long. Once again there is ample floral influence on the ripe and fresh aromas of plum, black currant, newly turned earth and discreet wood. There is excellent mid-palate density to the powerful and even more muscular large-scaled flavors that coat the palate with sappy dry extract on the overtly austere built-to-age finish. This is a classic example of the genre that should age accordingly. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2022)"
