94 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "The interplay of flint and yellow fruit character makes this an impressive village wine. There’s juiciness on the substantial yet precisely balanced medium-bodied palate. But the real excitement comes in the smoky, wet-stone finish. What fantastic energy. Delicious now, but also has excellent aging potential. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. (8/20/24)"
93+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Zellertal is pure Riesling from chalky soils in this exciting northern Pfalz district. Finely reductive/flinty on the dense, fresh and textural nose, with concentrated lemon aromas, this is a full-bodied, round and juicy, very elegant and savory Riesling with a remarkable tannin structure that fits beautifully with the saline nature of this challenging Riesling. This was bottled at the end of July and either should be decanted or forgotten for at least another year. 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024. Drink: 2026-2046. (10/31/24)"
