97 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Cool, elegant and flinty, the finely nuanced stone fruit slowly emerging as the wine aerates in the glass. A touch of toasty lees character. I love the interplay of detailed minerality, delicate stone fruit character and racy acidity on the focused, medium-bodied palate. Very long and filigreed finish that doesn’t want to let go of you, and you don’t want to let go of it. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2025. (8/20/24)"

95 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Riesling Hohen-Sülzener Kirchenstück Grosses Gewächs was picked next to the winery, on limestone with just a little loess. The merest flicker of reduction plays with a tropical overtone of mango but is then caught by green apple and vivid citrus. The palate comes in with fluidity and a crunch that reminds of the thinnest film of ice, followed by serene brightness. This walks on tiptoe, making a virtue of its elongated, tender lightness edged by purest lemon zestiness. Beautiful and so elegant. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2028-2050. (Oct 2024)"

94 points Ulrich Sautter (Falstaff): "Peach, apricot and guava in the first aroma, savoury, Hohen-Sülzener Macchia, pear and pear skin. Does not even try to convey the character of the vineyard with full steam, the minerality is embedded in a relaxed ambience, salty, slightly citrusy, elegant. (11/11/24)"

93+ points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Hohen-Sülzen Kirchenstück GG is deep, intense and slightly minty on the still reductive and yeasty but predominantly chalky nose that is less hard than in the Zellertal Riesling due to a layer of loess. Elegant and almost charming on the palate, this is a full-bodied, savory and sustainably saline Riesling with fine tannins and powdery grip on the finish. It might not be as complex or as challenging as the Zellertal, but it's really fine, elegant and still tensioned. 12.5% stated alcohol. Diam cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2024. Drink: 2026-2035. (10/31/24)"
