93 points La Revue du Vin de France: "The Chambolle offers a fleshy, gourmet fruit, and is ripe and fresh, with sap and shine. (2021)"
92.5 points CellarTracker.com community score.
90-92 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village is showing beautifully, offering up aromas of cherries, raspberries and blood orange mingled with rich soil tones and hints of raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, succulent and lively, its ample core of beautifully succulent fruit is built around ripe, fine-grained tannins. (Feb 2020)"
89-92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "A blend from nine plots now that the 1ers Crus Noirots and Sentiers are made separately. It has a deep core of purple-black, with a vibrant fully ripe fruit on the nose, but tenser and fresher on the palate with excellent acidity, a little bit more black cherry fruit than red. (Nov 2019)"
90+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Domaine Barthod Chambolle AC is also a fine bottle in 2018, sharing the same purity and sappy core as many of the top premier crus here. The nose wafts from the glass in a fine blend of red and black cherries, a nice touch of plumminess, chalky soil, pigeon, mustard seed and just a touch of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very precise, with a good core of fruit, lovely soil signature, with ripe, well-integrated tannins and a long, nascently complex finish. 2028-2060. (Nov/Dec 2019)"
