The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit tobacco and cracked black pepper toward the finish, making this one of the spiciest cuvées from the domaine. Good length here, but it leans toward the more austere side overall. Drink: 2024-2042. (Dec 2020)"

There is ripe fruit on show up front but then a grainy texture behind, perhaps a wood tannin. Some blood orange notes which I associate with the presence of iron oxide in the soil. Not quite in harmony today until the finish which has a deep floral character. Notable persistence. This will certainly harmonise with a little more time in barrel. 7.5 barrels made. (Nov 2020)"
