96 points James Suckling: "Bright and floral on the nose with orange blossom to the vivid sliced cherry character. Medium body, with ultra-fine tannins that are supple and caressing. Gorgeous cooked peach pie and cherry aftertaste. Delicious to taste now, but better in 2028. (8/7/23)"
94 points James Button (Decanter): "Castello di Brolio is the estate's flagship bottle, bringing together Sangiovese (the Sangiovese di Brolio clone, to be precise) from higher altitude sites near the castle, planted on the three main soil types found here: macigno (sandstone), galestro and alberese. This 2020 has a balsamic nose, accompanied in the mouth by a rich concentration of sapid, tangy red and black fruits and beautifully silky tannins. Structured enough to age well but soft and approachable enough to enjoy immediately, this is a great all-rounder. Labelled as Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Gaiole. Drinking Window: 2023-2042. (9/19/23)"
