On the nose there are aromas of dark berries, a little bramble, and a crunchy green fruit note, followed by some powerful aromas of smoke, cream, charred oak, green herb and balsamic notes. On the palate there is a chewy, austerity to the tannins which feel a little firmly extracted but on the positive side there’s a lovely, vivid acidity giving juiciness and there is a good amount of chunky, dark fruit.
