91+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "This is a wine I have been following since I first had the pleasure to cross paths with the 1985, which happens to be a vintage of this bottling that the 2007 most resembles, though my gut instincts tell me that the 2007 will actually be a bit finer at its apogee. The bouquet is deep and quite striking, as it jumps from the glass in a blaze of black cherries and black raspberries, grilled meats, espresso, Gevrey's "black minerality" and just a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is fullish, long and complex, with a suave attack, fine mid-palate depth, and lovely focus and shape on the long, softly tannic and tangy finish. A terrific village wine. 2012-2030. (Jan/Feb 2009)"
