92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The vines that go into this superb villages level Vieilles Vignes are now closing in on their ninetieth birthdays, which they will celebrate in the 2025 vintage! They have done yeoman’s work in 2023 and turned out a brilliant wine, offering up scents of black plums, black cherries, grilled meats, a complex foundation of Gevrey’s black minerality, raw cocoa and a nice touch of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and sappy at the core and nicely defined by its underlying soil elements, with lovely acids, ripe tannins and impeccable balance on the long, complex and very precise finish. Great juice in the making. 2037-2075. (Jan/Feb 2025)"

90-92 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from vines averaging between 60 and 70 years of age located in Les Champs Perriers, En Derée, Sylvie, Les Jeunes Rois, La Justice, La Burie, Nouroy and La Platière). The wood regimen isn't subtle if not dominant on the markedly earth-inflected nose of notably ripe but fresh dark currant and poached plum aromas. There is once again good volume and richness to the solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors that coat the mouth on the powerful, lightly austere and firm finale. This is a dense 2023 with lovely balance - one to strongly consider for its level. Drink: 2031+. (Jan 2025)"
