94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The bouquet of the 2023 les Corbeaux from Denis Bachelet is simply stunning! It delivers a gorgeous blend of black cherries, black plums, grilled meats, black minerality, currant leaf, raw cocoa, smoky overtones and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, impeccably balanced and beautifully sappy at the core, with great soil signature and grip, suave, buried tannins, great backend energy and a very long, pure and complex finish. Les Corbeaux can often be a pretty powerful premier cru, but in this vintage, the power is all masked behind the utterly refined and elegant profile of the wine! 2038-2080. (Jan/Feb 2025)"

94 points Christy Canterbury, MW (TimAtkin.com): "Succulent with blackberries, brown spices and a touch of musk, the palate feel is incredibly smooth. Silky tannins and lilting acidity frame the charming, plush palate. This definitely performs at another level this year. Impressive harmony! (2025)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Corbeaux 1er Cru has a minerally bouquet that is a little more pixelated and brighter than the Les Evocelles. There is wonderful focus and heart-warming purity of fruit, equally red and black. Elegant and poised, the palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. It is not a powerful Gevrey-Chambertin, but it has a seductive, sweet, lightly spiced finish with a little confited fruit. Excellent. Drink: 2028-2050. (Jan 2025)"

92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux has turned out nicely, mingling aromas of cherries and cassis with notions of smoke and spices in an appealing bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, lively and suave, it's fresh and seamless, reflecting the Bachelet family's longstanding work to tame this climat's potential rusticity. (1/30/25)"

91-94 points/'Sweet spot/Outstanding,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(also from 60 to 70-year-old vines). A cool yet ripe nose reflects plenty of sauvage character on the wild dark berry, plum and freshly turned earth. There is excellent intensity to the bigger-bodied and notably more powerful flavors that are also markedly concentrated and particularly so for the vintage, all wrapped in a firm, serious and very much built-to-age finale. Impressive. Drink: 2035+. (Jan 2025)"

91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "Mid crimson purple, with a slighter softer approach to the nose. Some strawberry with the raspberry, this may be softer, but it is showing well this year with a persistent elegance. (Nov 2024)"
