89 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "Denis Bachelet always makes an extremely fine example of Bourgogne Rouge and the 2023 is another stellar success for its level. The bouquet is pure and really quite impressive, offering up scents of black raspberries, cassis, grilled meats, coffee bean, a fine base of dark soil tones and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nicely sappy at the core, with a good underpinning of soil, moderate tannins and fine focus and balance on the nascently complex finish. 2029-2040. (Jan/Feb 2025)"
88-89 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): "Bachelet's 2023 Bourgogne Pinot Noir offers up aromas of rich cherries, berries and licorice, followed by a medium-bodied, fleshy and giving palate with a sweet core of fruit and a vanillin-inflected finish. (1/30/25)"
87-89 points/'Outstanding/Top value,' Allen Meadows (Burghound): "A ripe and fresh nose features liqueur-like aromas of poached plum, black cherry and earth. The succulent and well-concentrated flavors possess unusually good size and weight in the context of what is typical for the genre while displaying fine power and length on the lingering finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is an excellent Bourgogne. Drink: 2026+. (Jan 2025)"
