92 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): "Super-dark in appearance, with abundant fruit scented with cherries and rose petals. There is impressive concentration here, particularly given the regional level of the vines. From two parcels that total 0.6ha in the lieux-dits Pressonier and Grands Champs on the far side of the Nationale in Gevrey. Destemmed and slowly fermented on native yeasts. Drinking Window: 2023-2035. (11/10/21)"

'Outstanding/Top Value'/87-90 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "The ripe and fresh nose is comprised by notes of dark berry coulis, earth and a whiff of oak. There is excellent density and energy to the mouth coating, delicious and sappy middle weight flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence for its level. In short, this is a potentially outstanding Bourgogne and absolutely one to consider plus it should be fully capable of rewarding several years of development. Drink: 2024+. (Jan 2022)"

89 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2020 Bourgogne Rouge, matured in used oak, is quite deep in colour. Gorgeous blackcurrant and raspberry coulis scents on the nose, well-defined and fresh. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit tinged with blueberry, quite supple with fine acidity and spiciness on the finish. You could not wish for anything more from a Bourgogne Rouge. Drink: 2023-2032. (May 2022)"

89 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Bourgogne Rouge is a fine bottle in the making in the Bachelet cellars, as this wine has excellent mid-palate stuffing and a very sophisticated structural chassis. The nose offers up scent of black cherries, black raspberries, bitter chocolate, dark soil tones, plenty of smokiness and a topnote of violets. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and impressively soil-driven for its appellation, with a good core, a touch of backend tannin and a long, classy finish. Good juice that will need at least a couple of years in the cellar to blossom. 2025-2040. (Nov/Dec 2021)"
