93 points Decanter: "Savoury and black fruit palate with a velvety texture and spicy finish. A wine of great potential."

93 points Tim Atkin, MW (2016).

91-93 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(from 40+ year old vines). There is yet again excellent volume to the solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that possess more refinement but less muscle and power before culminating in a lingering and harmonious finish where the supporting tannins are dense but fine. Good stuff and worth a look. Drink: 2026+. (Jan 2016)"

92 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): "The colour is a little bit darker than I expected from this relatively refined vintage. The bouquet had not yet fully evolved, perhaps some dark raspberry notes, but it is playing a waiting game. The palate is perfectly poised with a sense of crisp precision, but the profile of darker cherry fruit suggests that Cyprien Arlaud waited for ripeness in a year when some panicked because of the drosophile induced rot. This is clean and clear cut, but sitting back on its haunches. If I had another bottle, I would wait a while. (May 2020)"

92 points Stephen Tanzer (Vinous): "Good medium red Captivating aromas of cherry, minerals, black olive and rooty underbrush Densely packed, ripe and seamless, but with an impression of calcaire weightlessness Still a bit youthfully medicinal but this saline premier cru boasts serious inner-mouth tension and finishes with sweet tannins and very good savory persistence Drink: 2021-2029. (Mar 2017)"
