95 points/'Cellar Selection,' Wine Enthusiast: "Structured, with grip and length, this wine is ripe and rich in style with tremendous tannins. Chalky in texture, it provides layers of cassis, vanilla and clove, with the mountain appellation's signature earthiness and herbal underrates. This will do well to cellar; enjoy best from 2028–2038. Alcohol 15.2%. (Oct 2022)"

94 points Wine Spectator: "Richly fruity, with a deep well of boysenberry, fig and blackberry compote notes that won't quit, pumping along while licorice, fruitcake and ganache notes fill in. This has a roasted apple wood frame and a late tug of cast iron, which keep it all grounded. Best from 2024 through 2036. 800 cases made. (5/31/22)"

94 points International Wine Report: "The 2018 Anthem Mount Veeder Estate Caberent Sauvignon begins with lovely aromas of dark cherries and black raspberries, which are woven together with graphite, spices, florals and earthy soil nuances which round out the nose. On the palate this possesses a wonderful plush, velvety texture with notable overall balance. Flavors of dark cherries and spices all continue to build and leave a lasting impression on the finish. While this is already showing plenty of appeal, it also has the potential to thrive in the cellar over the next decade. Drink: 2024-2040. (Aug 2022)"

94 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): "The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Vineyard is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of creme de cassis, plum preserves, and wild blueberries rocket from the glass, followed by hints of camphor, tree bark, and crushed rocks. The full-bodied, muscular palate has a rock-solid structure of firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and mineral-laced. Drink: 2023-2038. (2/16/23)"

92+ points Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate): "From the estate vineyard on Mount Veeder, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is marked by dark, plummy fruit and scents of loamy earth, cedar and mocha. Full-bodied, richly textured and concentrated, it's clearly a mountain wine—tannic, rugged and muscular on the finish. Give it a few years in the cellar before pulling a cork. Drink: 2025-2040. (May 2022)"

92 points Jeb Dunnuck: "Coming from Mount Veeder, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate showed beautifully, with its deep purple hue giving way to a great bouquet of darker blue fruits, minty herbs, mountain scrub brush, and crushed stone-like minerality. Possessing remarkable purity on the palate, it's a big, rich, powerful wine (the alcohol is over 15%) that stays balanced, has ripe, building tannins, and a great finish. It's a beautiful wine. (2/16/23)"
