95-97 points Peter Moser (Falstaff): "Yellow-green with a silver sheen. Fine yellow tropical fruit, subtle peach, a hint of lime zest. Juicy, with a fine mango touch, elegant, a discreet fruit sweetness, an integrated acidity, an elegant minerality, very good length and balance, already drinking well, with a secure future. Alcohol 13.5%. (6/24/24)"

96 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The 2023 Riesling Höhereck Smaragd is grown in the orthogneiss of this steep yet sheltered site. Herbal intensity joins the citrus. Here, intense lemon balm, totally scented, takes over on the nose. The palate is slender and has a grounding undertone of wet stone, still with a yeasty vibe, but the body is essentially slender, pure, bright and elongated, with brightness and tension. Bravo. The finish is a pure note of tangerine. Just 700 bottles are made of this little treasure. (Bone-dry) Drink: 2028-2053. (Jul 2024)"

96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "Such complexity on the nose, from white flowers to grapefruit, peaches to aniseed. It’s mouthwateringly fresh as well as compact on the medium- to full-bodied palate with a limey, mineral brightness throughout. Try after 2025. (9/10/24)"
