95 points Tim Atkin, MW: "[13.5] Meteora is a brilliant new addition to Altos Las Hormigas’ superb range of Malbecs. Sourced from silty soils in Paraje Altamira, this was fermented with 15% whole bunches in concrete tanks and proves that the variety doesn’t have to be aged in oak to shine. Ethereal and hauntingly perfumed, it’s a wine of great purity and balance with layers of violet, plum and black cherry. 2025-2032. (2024)."
94 points Jesica Vargas (Wine Enthusiast): "Aromas of jarilla, rosemary, peppercorn and flint are followed by wild berries. The wine is full-bodied, with elegant tannins and silky texture. Bright ripe fruit flavors are enhanced by hints of licorice, dried herbs and black pepper that extend into a savory aftertaste. This is a delicious Malbec from the winery's vineyards in Paraje Altamira, Uco Valley. (03/02/24)."
93 points Matt Walls (Decanter): "Alberto Antonini owns the 88ha Jardin Altamira estate, planted at 1,200m and focusing on Malbec. This unoaked version is very perfumed: floral with violets and black cherry dancing over a core of spicy black fruit. There's lovely depth of fresh, bright pure black fruit on the palate – lots of silky black cherry – with top notes of red fruit: plum and cranberry on the long finish, overlaid with hints of herbs and spices. A wine of precision and tension – and a great partner for beef dishes. Drink 2024-2028. (03/16/24)."
