93 points Tim Atkin, MW: "Herafter Here is Chris Alheit's biggest-production Chenin Blanc, made from five different sources in Stellenbosch and the Swartland. The vines are mostly younger, producing a wine that's comparatively immediate, with a nice interplay between peach an green apple fruit and impressive brightness for a 2022 release. 2023-2028. (2023)."

92 points Anthony Mueller (Wine Advocate): "New to the range this year comes the 2022 Hereafter Here made from 100% Chenin Blanc. The nose is zesty, bright and fresh, with notes of lemon oil and dusty citrus blossom. Medium-bodied and with 13% alcohol, the palate offers energetic acidity with a succulent mineral tension before displaying a kiss of phenolic bitterness. The wine continues to uncoil and reveal additional layers of complexity over the long, lingering, food-friendly finish. Just over 32,000 bottles were produced from Chenin Blanc that aged in a mix of old foudre, cement eggs and old barrels. Drink 2024-2032. (12/29/23)."

92 points James Suckling: "This is so fresh and mineral, showing sliced apples, wet stones, grapefruit and wild thyme. Medium-bodied, bright and tight. Excellent structure and focus. 100% chenin. Drink or hold. (10/24/23)."

91 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2022 Hereafter Here is a mixture of young and old vines due to the higher yields this year, whole bunch pressed with 18 months élevage, two-thirds on the lees. The well-defined bouquet has yellow plum, orange blossom, Japanese yuzu and crushed stone aromas. The palate is very harmonious, with a crisp line of acidity. A linear, almost Zen-like razor-sharp Chenin displaying wonderful nerve on the finish. Superb. Drink 2024-2034. (08/23)."
