92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The new release of Adrien Bergère’s “Grand Cru” Blanc de Blancs non-vintage Extra Brut is composed entirely from his parcels of vines in the Côte des Blancs villages of Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger. It is from the superb base year of 2019 and was disgorged in September of 2022 and finished with a dosage of two grams per liter. A percentage of the vins clairs for this wine are barrel-fermented and aged in cask. The wine delivers lovely aromatic complexity in its blend of apple, pear, warm bread, chalky minerality, a touch of white lilies and gentle smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is brisk, full-bodied, precise and complex, with a lovely core of fruit, fine mineral drive and cut, elegant mousse and a long, well balanced and still quite youthful finish. To my palate, with only two grams of dosage, this wine could do with a bit of hibernation time in the cellar to let its girdle of acidity relax a bit before drinking. It is an excellent young wine. 2026-2050. (Sep 2024)"
91 points Anne Krebiehl, MW (Vinous): "The NV (2019) Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru was harvested in Chouilly, Cramant, Avize, Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger. The nose brims deliciously with lemon, cold sour cream butter and raw short crust pastry. The palate is rounded with the ripeness of 2019 and thus has soft contours. It shows off butteriness, Chardonnay's lightness and creaminess along with lemony, raw short crust pastry by way of autolysis. Beautifully pure fruit is at the core and Côte de Blancs chalkiness seems to hover just below the surface. Elegant, pure, bright and yet rounded. Dosage is 4gr/L. Disgorged: March, 2022. Drink: 2023-2030. (Nov 2023)"
