93-94 points David Schildknecht (Vinous): "[$60 list] Lime, grapefruit, white peach and papaya dominate on the nose and palate, accompanied by delightful accents of cooling mint, bittersweet iris perfume and Rausch-typical hints of smoke and stone. The combination of animatingly juicy citricity with seductively creamy texture is quite striking, and the resounding finish is bell-clear, consummately refreshing and impeccably balanced, despite harboring an amazingly high level of residual sugar. Drink: 2017-2038. (Mar 2018)"
93 points Mosel Fine Wine: "AP: 03 17. Harvested at a full 97° Oechsle, this reductive wine only slowly develops its beautiful bouquet of quince, yellow peach, vanilla cream and floral nuances. The wine is splendidly juicy and creamy with rich, mouth-coating flavors of tropical and honeyed fruits and the full presence of an Auslese on the palate. The finish remains elegant, being both smooth and delicate. However, this will need a good decade to fully blossom and absorb its rather high level of residual sugar. 2026-2046. (Jun 2017)"
93 points Wine Spectator: "[$60 list] Complex and creamy, with ripe flavors of black currant and apple pie, this is fresh and lively because of the high acidity and mineral notes. Very expressive and focused, but displays good harmony and fine length. Drink now through 2037. 300 cases made. (6/15/18)"
