94 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The Tras da Viña single vineyard bottling from Eulogio Pomares is his youngest vines bottled on their own, as these were planted from cuttings taken from one of his pre-phylloxera parcels and planted in 1970. The soils here produce a very long-lived wine and this bottling will typically go through malolactic fermentation and this is given a year and a half on its fine lees aging prior to bottling. The 2018 Tras da Viña offers up a beautifully precise and saline bouquet of lemon, lime, a very complex base of salty minerality, citrus peel, incipient notes of beeswax and a topnote of lemongrass. On the palate the wine is deep, pure and full-bodied, with a lovely signature of soil, a fine core, bright acids and a long, complex and vibrant finish. There is a roundness here from the malo that gives the wine more accessibility out of the blocks than the Balado vineyard bottling, but this too will be a long-distance runner in the cellar. 2021-2045. (Jan/Feb 2021)"

93 points Josh Raynolds (Vinous): "Green-hued straw. Fresh pear and orange zest on the highly perfumed nose; vibrant floral, saffron and mineral notes add lift. Juicy, penetrating and sharply delineated in the mouth, offering concentrated citrus and orchard fruit flavors along with sea salt, honeysuckle and bitter quinine flourishes. Smoothly blends depth and vivacity and finishes impressively long and silky, with outstanding clarity and mineral-driven persistence. Drink: 2022-2028. (Jun 2021)"

Importer notes: "Tras da Viña comes from a vineyard planted in 1970 with cuttings from El Palomar. The soil is derived from a decomposed, yellow granite, and it is richer than the other sites. Eulogio leaves the wine on its lees for 30+ months to add textural weight, and a portion usually passes through malo. This may be the most Chablis-like of the three cuvées, and is generally the most accessible at release."
