94-97 points Jasper Morris, MW: "From Le Charlemagne and En Charlemagne, so the domaine has opted for the old appellation of just Charlemagne since 2013. All managed by horse, with the Pernand plot (En Charlemagne) being picked later. Pale primrose, with a startlingly fine bouquet, explosive, yet also displaying a really fine balanced core with mineral intensity, which infuses the second half of the palate. The 2019 Charlemagne is exceptionally fine and extremely long, but not too muscular. (Nov 2020)"

95 points La Revue du Vin de France: "Unctuous and caressing, the Corton-Charlemagne respects the ripe fruit with a soft and expressive flesh. (2022)"

93-95 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2019 Charlemagne Grand Cru has a very lovely bouquet of lemon curd, white peach, almond and flecks of white chocolate, all very well defined. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, rounded and intense, very persistent but with more tension and nerve than some of Vougeraie’s Premier Crus. Excellent. Drink: 2023-2040. (Dec 2020)"

92-95 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "(100% whole clusters). A pungent nose is composed mostly of wood toast and reduction. Otherwise there is excellent precision to the rich, intense and surprisingly mineral-driven big-bodied flavors that are shaped by firm but ripe tannins and outstanding length on the linear, austere and powerful finish. This beautifully complex and quite firmly structured effort possesses plenty of muscle and very fine development potential. Drink: 2039+. (Jan 2021)"
