95-97 points Fine Wine Review: "Great harmony and completeness, plus length — great length — and concentration. 100% whole clusters. (12/10/18)"

94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: "Deepish red colour, racked back to barrel. Whole bunch shows in the cherry/crushed strawberry liveliness of the nose. Still don’t understand why this cuvée is always so good coming from what should not be a favoured site within Bonnes Mares. Perfectly poised on the palate, gorgeous sweet fruit through the middle, lively and lovely, an extra layer of sweetly ripe fruit over and above a lightly handled but still present structure. Very persistent indeed. (Nov 2018)"

95 points Tim Atkin, MW (Decanter): "From a site that sits very close to the village border with Morey-St-Denis, this is always an impressive expression of Bonnes-Mares. Made with 100% whole bunches and 40% new wood, it has a lovely combination of texture, aroma, spice and fine-grained tannins. Supple and quite forward, it's a faithful expression of the vintage. Drinking Window: 2024-2030. (Nov 2018)"

92-94 points Neal Martin (Vinous): "The 2017 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru contains 100% whole bunches this year, matured in around 25% new oak. It has an attractive, tightly knit bouquet of blackberry, bilberry and light briny scents, quite Morey-Saint-Denis-like in style. The palate is structured and (for a Bonnes-Mares) quite strict and grippy. Firm and stoic toward the finish, this is a Bonnes-Mares that will certainly require five or six years in bottle. Drink: 2024-2040. (Jan 2019)"

92-94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): "( from vines near the Morey border, 50% of which were planted in 1902). A beautifully layered nose offers up notes of liqueur-like red and dark cherry, warm earth and a variety of floral elements. The exceptionally rich and generously proportioned big-bodied flavors flash good power and solid mid-palate density, all wrapped in a youthfully austere, long and complex finish that is also clearly structured for mid to longer-term cellaring. Drink: 2032+. (Jan 2019)"
