96 points Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): "A great Spätlese that has a good deal more than fifty shades of yellow fruit! The staggering vitality and crystalline purity make you forget that this wine has a bunch of natural grape sweetness and only 7.5% alcohol. Wonderful succulence and freshness at the very long finish. Drink or hold. (9/23/21)"

94 points Mosel Fine Wines: "AP: 11 21. The 2020er Maximin Grünhäuser Herrenberg Riesling Spätlese was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It offers a seductive nose mixing ripe elements of fruits including yellow peach and pineapple with whipped cream, lavender, herbs, and smoke. The wine comes over as superbly juicy and zesty on the currently still slightly sweet tasting palate but leaves already a great sense of freshness and focus to the finish. A touch of creaminess adds a flair of Auslese to this gorgeous sweet wine. This is a remarkable success! 2030-2050. (Jul 2021)"

92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): "The 2020 Herrenberg Riesling Spätlese AP #11 is a really refined example of the vintage. The bouquet is deep, pure and complex, jumping from the glass in a blend of lime, white cherry, slate minerality that again shows an overtly saline shading, moss, dried flowers, wild yeasts and a bit of cress in the upper register. On the palate the wine is bright, medium-full and zesty, with a lovely core and mineral drive, fine focus and grip and a long, complex and filigreed finish. This is a lovely bottle in the making. 2022-2075. (Jan/Feb 2022)"

92 points Wine Spectator: "A voluptuous nose of peach cobbler leads to creamy flavors of red peach, melon, apple tart and melon. There's plenty of vanilla and spice in the mix, lingering with ginger notes that show hints of toast and honey. Drink now through 2032. (9/30/12)"
