A savoury, earthy style with rhubarb, blood orange, cinnamon and a hint of saltiness. The velvety tannins are light and ripe, accompanied by crisp acidity. The wine has lots of very fine-grained, sandy tannins, giving it a long, lingering finish with lots of sapidity and savouriness, which slightly covers the fruit at the moment. It needs a little more time to open up. Keep for 1- 2 years then drink for 20+ years. Drink 2024-2044 (Jul 2022)."
